Have you ever thrown caution to the wind and picked up and moved across the world for 5 months? With no prior international travel? If you've ever wanted to push yourself completely out of your comfort zone, or if you have done so, you'll relate to this episode.
This week we talk specifically about the pros and cons of choosing to study abroad in college. Not only do we talk through the process of deciding to go, but also wading through the fear, anxiety, barriers, and self-doubt that come with any major life shift. It's also been shown that students who study abroad fare better in the job market, are more likely to embrace new experiences that come up in their professional lives, and tend to show increased adaptability.

Tuesday Sep 04, 2018
Tuesday Sep 04, 2018
This week we have Kelly Ziner on the podcast talking about her career path from journalism to consulting. Like many of us coming out of college, she was ready to jump head-first into the field she had majored in. But things took a bit of a different turn and she is now a successful consultant in the medical field. Many of us go through this transition in the first few years outside of school and she talks about what propelled her into this new field.
The consultant life also has many pros and cons and we talk to Kelly about the impact of excessive travel on her relationships, health, and overall mindset. We also discuss whether consulting is a lifelong career path or only manageable at certain points in life.
Today's special segment: "Travel Diaries" - top advice if you travel frequently. Hint: NEVER MAKE EYE CONTACT
